The last thing we want any visitor to our church to feel is that the only thing we want from them is money. It can be very embarrassing if a collection plate is passed around and one has nothing to give or is unprepared. For this reason, we do not pass around a collection plate during our services or any of our church activities. Instead, we have a donations box for people to give money to the church if they feel so inclined.
We do, however, need money in order to keep the church running: gas and electricity, waste collection, building maintenance, our pastor's salary, resources and equipment – the list is endless. Nant Coch Church is primarily supported by the generous giving of those who are part of the church. Those who attend regularly see it as part of their worship and their commitment to the church. and contribute generously. We give away some of what we receive to other Christian projects in Newport and around the world. If you would like to contribute to the work of the church, there are various ways for you to do so.
Donations box
You can place a monetary gift in our donations box which is discretely placed at the back of the church hall at all of our services and church activities.
Bank transfer
You can also give by bank transfer – the church's bank details are:
Account name: Nant Coch Church
Sort code: 56-00-59
Account number: 92763499
Regular giving via standing order
Many church members give regularly via standing order directly into the church bank account. You can set up a standing order through your bank or by filling out the church's standing order form and giving it to one of our finance team (Gerald, John or Adrian).
Tax-efficient giving
If you pay UK tax (Income or Capital Gains Tax) then you can make donations tax efficiently. By completing our Gift Aid Declaration, you will allow us to claim an additional 25p for every £1 you give.
And finally, a massive thank-you to all who give financially to support the work of the church.

The Bible tells us a number of helpful things about money and giving, including:
God is good and is the ultimate resource provider (Jam 1:17)
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father
All our resources (100%) come from God and belong to him (1 Chron 29:14)
Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.
Giving regularly is part of basic discipleship (1 Cor 16:2)
On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income
Money management and planning to give are important (2 Cor 9:7)
Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
All giving should be generous, mirroring our generous God (1 Tim 6:18-19)
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age
In short, we’re called to give generously and regularly.
Gerald: Can you confirm, please, that you are happy for the church's bank account details to appear on the website. Also, any suggestions for revised wording would be appreciated.
