Welcome
We'd love you to be a part of this church.
If you think you would like to be a part of this church community, you will be very welcome. Come along, get to know us and help us get to know you.
We are a busy church so we’re sure to be able to find something to join in with that matches your gifts, and passions. As well as our two Sunday services we have midweek house groups; different family and children's activities during the day; Cosy Corner (Tuesday drop in / Warm Space from 1130-2); Bigger Table (Thursday at 12 - free cooked lunch, with the possibility of buying a bag of food at a very discounted rate); and children, youth and family activities on Thursday evenings.
There are also opportunities to serve using your gifts. This could be anything from joining the tech team in our services, joining the music and singing groups, reading the Bible or praying in the morning service, or even serving coffee after the service. We can always use more help in one of the midweek groups or helping the maintain and run the building.
Some tasks need a special set of skills, some can be done by anyone. Some tasks need to be done on a Sunday, some can be done mid-week. Some during the day, others in the evening. Some are very much ‘front of house’, some are more behind the scenes.
You can also make gifts direct to the church by clicking on the link below.

Worship by giving
four different hands grasping wrists in unity
Those who are a regular part of this church get involved by giving, praying, volunteering, supporting our groups and outreach work. Others are involved simply by blessing us as part of our church community. We want to work towards being an inclusive church for everyone.
If you’d like to find out more about any of our groups or activities we’d love to hear from you. Send an email to office@mutleybaptistchurch.co.uk and we'll be in touch soon.
Welcome to The Belfrey! We are a Christian Church in the centre of York with a vision to Serve God’s Transformation of the North. That means we have a passion to serve our neighbourhoods, our city, our region and beyond, showing them and you the love of Jesus Christ.
We gather throughout the week in different ways but one of the main ways is through our services. Sundays have a range of styles, encouraging joyful worship and practical Bible teaching. The heart of church community and life is found in our mid-week ‘Belfrey Groups’, small gatherings of people which usually take place in homes.
There’s so much to be involved with at The Belfrey, but first let me just say we are so pleased you’re here reading this and I’d love to invite you to get to know us better. Fill in the form below so we can invite you to a welcome lunch and help you get connected in with our church life. Have a look around the rest of our website, there’s so much to explore. We really look forward to getting to know you and welcoming you to Church!
